These reviews are the opinion of CampgroundReviews' members and not the views of CampgroundReviews. We stayed 2 nights on our first trip with our 8 year old grandson as a close to home shakedown for us all with our tiny trailer before a longer trip. The park was beautiful with very large paved sites and some shade. There is a nice swimming pool, which we enjoyed, though it got pretty crowded sometimes. There were excellent hiking trails, though markings could be better in some places we missed a turn and had a much longer than expected hike. The bison herd was cool and as a special treat, were resting right by the edge of their enclosure with several small calves, so we got to see them up close.

Kentucky Campground sites can be occupied by a maximum of 8 occupants. This policy will be enforced for the safety of all guests. It is sometimes confused with Boone's Landing, which is located on Boat Dock Road, which is not a part of the park. This park is in Eastern time zone. Site fees may be increased during the second and third weeks of October due to special events, the occurrence of fall color, and a generally greater demand for campsites. Please note: The maximum reservation window is 12 months in advance to the date. New Inventory is made available when the call center opens.
